Water saving in the textile and garment industries (WaSaTex)

  1. Conducted e-learning training on water saving where 256 persons participated representing all 50 factories, and 145 persons successfully completed all 7 modules which included quizzes and assignments to receive e-certificates;
  1. Visited 50 factories at least three times including data verification, implementation and validation on water savings during the project period;
  2. Conducted process trials in 14 factories to prove that the recommended process reduction method is successful in water savings, acceptable quality of fabric and improving first-time dyeing;
  3. Continuous follow-up and support to solve any technical problem that arises when implementing process-driven recommendations. All recommendations are given based on the existing setup, with no machine or high level of investment suggestions;
  4. Calculated reduction of energy use due to shortening of the process using digital clamp and power logger;
  5. Producing 21 case studies based on the successful implementation of recommendations with data from 28 factories.

We study the impacts of the climate crisis and develop measures to deal with associated risks and opportunities. We offer municipalities, businesses and governments concrete strategies and decision-making systems to help them.
