RECP for a Selected Industrial Cluster in Narayanganj District

  1. Focused on water as the primary driver for change but also addressed energy use for an integrated approach to resource efficiency to assess seven factories in the Narayanganj District;
  2. Provided support for the establishment of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) in Narayanganj;
  3. Enhanced WWTP’s performance through resource efficiency in the textile wet processing sector in Bangladesh;
  4. Developed preliminary questionnaire for collection of historical data such as water, electricity and gas consumption;
  5. Identified existing resource management practices (including the identification of existing input and output) to calculate unit consumption of resources;
  6. Visited the factories to verify those data through document review, field visit, interview and measurement;
  7. Analysed collected data to produce a report to include Cost of investment for different scenarios (No RECP, Low RECP and High RECP);
  8. Prepared resource efficiency assessment and prepared reports for 7 factories.

We study the impacts of the climate crisis and develop measures to deal with associated risks and opportunities. We offer municipalities, businesses and governments concrete strategies and decision-making systems to help them.
