- Analysed the Bangladeshi laws, regulations and procedures for industrial plants concerning emission control compliance from an overall spectrum;
- Described the status of the fire and building safety accord and its handover to the RMG sustainability cell;
- Supported the EE credit line expert in describing the credit approval processes concerning E&S risks in the RMG and textile sector, but also for other relevant industries;
- Identified suited measures to reduce the carbon emissions of the different industrial sub-sectors, with particular focus on RMG of the program considering aspects of technical and economic feasibility of EE measures to be financed from KfW´s funds;
- Estimated annual reduction of CO2 emissions as a result of the financed EE measures compared to a business-as-usual scenario and under consideration of the carbon footprint of the program especially for the RMG industry;
- Calculated the CO2 abatement cost of the program;
- Supported the client with experience and insights from BIFFL;
- Provided information on the fire safety regulations currently in use;
- Supported the elaboration of the potential for EE measures in SMEs vs. large companies in energy-intensive sectors
